Inkwell PDF ("we", "us", "our") is an online PDF processing tool. You can contact us at privacy@inkwellpdf.com for any privacy-related questions.

• Account information: your email address and display name when you register.
• Usage data: which tools you use and how many operations you perform per day, to enforce plan limits.
• Subscription data: your plan tier and billing status, managed via Stripe.
• Technical data: browser type, device type, and general IP-based region — used for security and analytics only.

Most PDF operations — merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, page numbering, watermarking, signing, OCR, and adding or removing passwords — run entirely in your browser, and those files never leave your device. Three features are exceptions, described in Section 3 and labeled in the app: PDF to DOCX and Chat with PDF (which use an AI service) and Seal (hosted signing).

Two features use a third-party AI service and therefore send content off your device. Both are clearly labeled in the app before you use them.

• Chat with PDF: text is extracted from your PDF locally in your browser, and only that text — with your question — is sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. Your PDF file itself is never uploaded.
• PDF to DOCX: to rebuild your document as an editable Word file, your pages are uploaded to our secure storage and sent to Google's Gemini AI service for conversion. These uploaded pages are held in our app's file storage as part of providing the service.

We do not use the content of your documents to train AI models. How a third-party AI provider handles content sent to it is governed by that provider's own terms. If you would rather not send document content to an AI service, simply don't use these two features — every other tool runs entirely in your browser.

• To provide and maintain your account.
• To enforce subscription plan limits and track daily usage credits.
• To process payments via Stripe.
• To respond to support requests.
• To improve the service through aggregated, anonymized analytics.

• Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
• Third-party AI provider — powers Chat with PDF. Only extracted text is sent; your file is not uploaded.
• Google (Gemini) — powers PDF to DOCX conversion. Uploaded pages are processed to produce your Word file.
• Base44 — application hosting and file storage for documents you upload to cloud features (PDF to DOCX and Seal).
• Supabase — secure database hosting for account and usage data.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Usage statistics are reset daily. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see Section 8).

• Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction: update your display name from your Profile page.
• Deletion: delete your account and all data (see Section 8).
• Portability: request an export of your account data.

To exercise any right, email privacy@inkwellpdf.com.

You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the app:

1. Sign in to Inkwell PDF.
2. Go to Profile.
3. Scroll to the "Danger Zone" section and click Delete Account.
4. Confirm the deletion.

This immediately and permanently deletes your account, usage records, and subscription data. This action cannot be undone.
