Last updated: June 2026

1. Acceptance

By using Inkwell PDF, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Inkwell PDF provides browser-based PDF tools including merging, splitting, compressing, converting, signing, and AI-assisted document chat. PDF processing occurs locally in your browser; files are never uploaded to our servers.

3. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Free accounts include a limited number of daily credits. Paid plans (Standard and Pro) are available on monthly or annual billing cycles, processed via Stripe. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law. You may cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service infrastructure.
  • Upload or process content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Circumvent plan limits or credit systems through automated means.

6. AI Features

The Chat with PDF feature uses a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) to generate responses. AI responses may be inaccurate. You are responsible for verifying any AI-generated content before relying on it for legal, financial, or other important decisions.

7. Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

Inkwell PDF and its underlying technology are owned by us. You retain all rights to the documents you process. We claim no ownership over content you upload or generate.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate in every case.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inkwell PDF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
